  • Well I had the biopsy done on my cervix 2 days ago, haven't heard anything back yet which dr said to take as a good sign because there wasn't need for immediate contact.  Either way it was not a pleasant experience, they had a microscope down there with a view of all I've got on a tv screen, and aside from that they had to use a bigger speculum (thats what its called right?), and that was painful itself.  My cervix is also at an awkward angle so theres always a lot of pushing and pulling to find it which is also very painful, then after finding it they had to cut part of my cervix off ouch!
Better news my next ultrasound is August 22nd, so I'll be able to straighten out my due date as well as find out if baby is a girl or a boy :).
Oh and latest heart rate is 140, and baby is very low my nurse keeps saying boy.  *crosses fingers* that shes wrong.
I still haven't felt baby move, well maybe I'm not 100% sure.

  • I'm horrible about posting I just never have a serious amount of stuff to say.

I bought a pair of maternity jeans, and holy hell I think I will wear them all my life even when I'm done carrying the fetus.  They're the most comfortable pants on earth, I got them at motherhood maternity, for less then $20.  I decided after that to look at second hand stores and was shocked when they had maternity jeans for nearly what I paid brand new.  I also got one of those belly bands or something of the sort that you can wear with your regular pants unbuttoned.

I'm also trying not to buy and baby stuff until I know the sex, then only big stuff because I will wait until after my baby shower to buy little things.  Speaking of baby shower, my family is fighting over who gets to throw it I just said everyone get together and do it I don't want to deal with the arguments.  I'm very picky though so I'm not going to be one to stand back and let them do it on their own.  I will be choosing a theme, making and mailing invitations, and aiding in the set up.  I'm just so concerned if I don't do it myself I'll be disappointed in the turn out, and the invitation thing is my way of making sure they get out because my mom is horrible about mailing anything.  I'm also the only person who has any skill with any graphic programs and being how picky I am I don't want cards or invitations that everyone else has so I'll make them myself it'll be more personal and cheaper that way :).

  • Holy cow.  I just realized I'm 14 weeks and 2 days, 1/3 of my way though this pregnancy already holy goodness!  I'm into the second trimester and my baby already does so much!  I haven't been keeping up with reading weekly development emails I signed up for, but I just went though all of them and I'm very surprised.  Baby can already suck his/her thumb and make faces!  Not to mention he/she can now urinate in my uterus isn't that cute?
I never really sat down and thought about how truly amazing it is, that this tiny baby is growing and being aided in that growth by me.  Serious we all start out as nearly nothing.  I'm sitting here staring at my body amazed that it too started the same way.  Now I'm helping to create life.
Its quite a lot to get my head around at the moment.

  • So my Dr. appointment went well baby's heart rate went from 166 to 154, not a bad thing.  I've also lost 4 lbs total this pregnancy only 1 since my last visit and I've gained nothing but I sure look like I've gained a lot.  The top of my uterus is about an inch under my belly button, right where it should be.
Only bad news is my pap came back abnormal.  I have the HPV virus, but its nothing to worry about from the sound of things.  I go in August 6th to get a biopsy just to check and make sure what they found really was the HPV virus, and also to make sure there aren't any pre-cancerous cells or cancerous cells.  My Dr. told me with technology today, and being that my last pap wasn't even a year before this one and that came back normal, that chances are there isn't even pre-cancer.  He also told me that if it is pre-cancer it can be treated before turning into cancer, and that if I get my annual paps and keep everything monitored it will never turn into cancer.  He also said that 70% of the population has the virus, and that he personally sees 2-3 patients a week with it so its very common and easy to keep track of.
He told me as of now it looks like my next ultrasound will be around September 1st, I'm still going to call Carenet and go in around 16-17 weeks and see if I've got any luck getting them to tell me the sex early.
